About the Event
Dr. Dempsey, an American scientist is sent to Scotland to disprove the existence of the Loch Ness Monster. The scientific mission soon turns into much more.
The charm of the small town and Dempsey's dealings with various stubborn locals -- innkeeper Laura (Joely Richardson), her young daughter Isabel (Kirsty Graham), the local water bailiff (Ian Holm) and research assistant Adrian Foote (James Frain) -- all help steer him in a positive new direction.
