Retained Firefighters

Kinlochewe and Torridon
Fire Station areas

Please help us to provide this community service.

Retained Firefighters carry a pager whilst going about their normal lives. In the event of a 999 call they respond and turn out the fire engine to resolve all types of fires and rescues. They attend weekly training sessions at their local fire station to develop and maintain their skills. Training and incident callouts are paid at an hourly rate in addition to an annual retaining fee.

You must be at least 18 years of age with good health and fitness.

We are seeking applicants from the communities of Kinlochewe, Shieldaig, Torridon, Alligin and Diabaig, and especially welcome female applicants, who are currently under-represented in the Fire Service.

Why not find out how you could help us protect our community?
